NEARLY 100 YEARS STRONG
RW Consumer Products was founded back in 1919, when today’s technologies were all but a distant dream. Our privately held corporation was established with the name ‘Robinson & Webber,’ after our founder. It wasn’t until the 1980s that Robinson & Webber became RW Packaging. More recently, as we closely reexamined our core purpose, we changed our name to RW Consumer Products. This shift in branding better reflects who we are – and have always been – as a company: focused on our customers.
A BLAST FROM OUR DEEP-ROOTED PAST
In the 1950s, downtown Winnipeg was a hub of commerce, entertainment, and manufacturing. Our old Robinson & Webber building on Bannatyne Ave. (where we resided from 1955 to 1980) helped shape this prosperous landscape. Today, you can still see this historic brick building standing tall, with our painted advertisements on the tower. They may have faded over time, but remain a powerful reminder of our long and valued history within the Winnipeg community.
